The Greenville Track Club hosted its 2019 Holiday Party at World Piece on Stone Avenue on Monday evening, December 9. We experienced a great turnout and enjoyed the social time with our running friends while eating some excellent pizza and yummy deserts.
If you haven't tried World Piece, you are missing out. However, you can join us on Monday, January 6 for our Monthly Club Meeting and order some of their tasty food for yourself. The meeting will be from 6:30 to 8:00 pm. Hope to see you there.

NOMINATIONS FOR OFFICERS AND AT-LARGE BOARD MEMBERS Nominations shall be solicited from the membership by notice on the Greenville Track Club website or via social electronic media at least three (3) weeks in advance of the Annual Meeting. In the event At-Large Director or Officer positions have insufficient nominations before the Annual meeting, the current Executive Committee, by consensus of the GTC officers, who make up the committee, shall have the authority to appoint members to occupy unfilled positions. For an At-Large Board Position, nominees shall have been club members for a minimum of one (1) continuous year prior to the Annual Meeting and have volunteered for at least three (2) GTC events within the two (2) years prior to the Annual Meeting. For an Officer position, nominees shall have been club members for a minimum of two (2) continuous years prior to the Annual Meeting and have substantially volunteered for at least three (3) GTC events within the two (2) years prior to the Annual Meeting. In special cases, the Nominating Committee shall have the option to waive the above requirements. General Info & Requirements If nominated, be prepared to provide a summary of your volunteer involvement with the club. Confirmation may be required from race or event directors. Except for emergencies or other unforeseen circumstances, board members should commit to attending at least 7 out of 11 GTC monthly board meetings and monthly club meetings, whenever possible. Nominees should be willing to wear GTC apparel at club races except when representing their organizations at GTC Corporate Shield events or wearing sponsor apparel at a specific event. For At-Large Positions, please identify which of the following age groups you'll be in as of 1/1/19 as we're trying to balance the membership on the board: Under 30, 31-45, 46-60 and 60 +. GTC Monthly Meeting Location: Coronas Restaurant #3, 2112 Wade Hampton Blvd, Greenville, SC 29615 (near Wade Hampton High School) 6:00-6:30 Ordering and Social Time 7:00 - Club Business and Program Speaker: our own David Wamer. Dave is a Greenville Track Club Hall of Famer and was an official at the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles. He will speak to us about what it takes to become an Olympic official and other experiences at the 1984 games. Registration for the Late Summer-Fall Season of the Greenville Track Club's Youth Running Program-the GTC Rabbits-is now open. The program is directed by Greenville Track Club-ELITE athlete Victor Pataky. Practice sessions will be conducted at Cleveland Park from 4:30 to 5:30 pm on most Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from August 21 through November 22.
