Most of us know that the GTC has been around for 45 years. Surprisingly, it is still a secret to many that we’ve had an adults only Masters track and field meet, which includes all of the track events from 100m to 5000m, hurdles; jumping events such as pole vault, long jump, triple jump and high jump; hammer and weight throws, javelin and discus. Masters T&F typically means 30 and over, but in recent years we’ve added and Open Division for 18-29. Last year we had 200 entries participating in over 400 events. Except for the pole vault, the current on line entry fee/event is only $12.50. If you haven’t participated before or have, we are hoping you will consider participating in the Greenville Track Club's SC Open and Masters Track Classic June 3rd at Furman University track. Our sponsor is Fleet Feet Sports on Augusta Road. Events are open to athletes 18 & over. Under 18, by exception only. Note: Mail-in entries are an additional $.50 per event. This year the meet will also be considered a SC USATF Association Championship. Separate medals will be awarded by SC USATF in addition to the ones given out by the Greenville Track Club. Only SC USATF members are eligible for these additional medals.
