The highlight of January's GTC monthly meeting was the presenting of "Life Members" awards to three deserving gentlemen. Board member and committee lead Jim Roberts made the presentations with the assistance of club founder Bill Keesling and former president Adrian Craven. The recipients were 94-year-old Al Rampey, past president Mickey McCauley and Dennis Zeiger. Dennis designed the GTC logo over 40 years ago.
Due to the New Year's Holiday our first meeting of 2017 will be on January 9th. The location will be at Chuy's on Woodruff Road. Social time begins at 6:30 pm and the formal meeting at 7:00 pm. Come join us and enjoy some Tex-Mex fare for dinner (at your expense).

Congratulations to our ASICS GTC-ELITE athletes for their performances this weekend:
Long time members Art Williams and Bobby Chandler were inducted into the Greenville Track Club Hall of Fame during the club's monthly meeting on Monday, September 12 at the Hampton Park Baptist Church meeting hall.
This year Beth Grumbles has appointed Jim Roberts, Mike Caldwell, John Lehman and myself to serve as the nominating committee for 2017 board vacancies. In particular, we will be replacing Lola Amcher and John Thompson who have served maximum terms, Ashley Southern who is moving from the area, and Valerie Ruck as Secretary. THANK YOU Lola, John, Ashley and Valerie for all you’ve done! We hope to see you back in the rotation again in the future!
This note is the annual solicitation of prospective officers and board members. If you have nominations, please send them along with a description of qualifications to email@example.com. Our committee will then present the slate of nominees at the October club meeting. Requirements for officers are that they have been members for two consecutive years and have volunteered at three events during that time. At-Large board members must have been members for one year and have volunteered at two events over the past year. All commit to attend at least 7 board meetings per year.
So, if you’re interested or know someone who loves running and would be good for one of these slots please shoot us an email @ Roncgtc@gmail.com.
Thanks in advance!
